It is that time of year again....Time to make some goals. I think goal setting should be done throughout the entire year, but starting at the beginning of the year is great motivation. While I have lots of goals for the coming year, here are just a few I am going to hold myself accountable for in the blogging world.
1. Try one new recipe a week. I am really good at cooking the same three things over and over and over again. {Chicken and rice, spaghetti...I can't think of a third thing :)} The ingredients for these dishes are usually always in the pantry, so I don't have to give them much thought. I have a binder FULL of recipes I have printed from the internet that I haven't even attempted. So, every week I am going to make something new and tell Y-O-U all about it! Get excited...
2. Take more pictures. Isn't the first born supposed to have like a gazillion baby pictures? I am HORRIBLE about getting out my camera and taking pictures of Mason. I have seen/heard of multiple people doing a "365 Day Project" where they take one picture a day. So, I am going to start a blog just for that purpose. Maybe I will turn it into a book at the end of the year....maybe...
3. Be more productive. Is it just me or is being a stay at home mom make you feel like you waste away the day sometimes? I know I am raising my son and teaching him and loving him and caring for him, blah, blah, blah. But there comes a point when I just can't spend another full day in my pj's because I have nothing else to do. I have decided I need projects to keep me busy {like #1 and #2 above}. My first project will be redoing my kitchen cabinets. Wish me luck!!
4. Knit. A few months ago my sweet grandma Leggett taught me how to knit. I was really gung ho the first few weeks, but I have kind of forgotten about it. I would love to say that I want my first accomplishment to be to knit a blanket {she knits beautiful blankets} but I think that might be a little unrealistic. So, my goal is going to be a dish cloth!
5. Blog more. Consider this your lucky day, because not only do you get to hear all of my resolutions for the new year, but you also get to read about them and see how I am progressing in all of this.
